We want you to celebrate the season with us at the Colfax Library this year! Especially because we plan to ring it in with lots of fun and cheer. Everyone is invited to join in the countywide favorite, The Festival of Trees, along with a visit from Santa Claus and a special Polar Express Party, all happening on Friday, December 1! We promise you that the library is never cozier, or shinier, than it is in wintertime. Peruse the schedule below and come see for yourself!

The Festival of Trees
An annual event, The Festival of Trees is when different local and regional organizations decorate and submit a beautiful holiday tree to be displayed in The Center at the Colfax Library. Open to the public, all are welcome to walk through the festive forest and vote on their favorite tree beginning December 1! Open Monday-Friday from 10am-6pm and on Saturdays from 1-5pm, all trees will be displayed through the end of the month… but the winner will be announced at Jingle and Mingle on December 15.

Santa Claus Comes to Town
Don’t miss this holiday meet and greet with Santa himself! Mark your calendars for Friday, December 1 and drop in from 3-5:30pm, but be sure to bring your camera. Santa Claus will be available to pose for pictures and to hear kids’ wishes, and candy canes will be generously distributed to all participants thanks to a donation from our friends at the Colfax Rosauers.

Polar Express Party
“Tickets please and take your seats!” for the family Polar Express Party! Join us during Santa’s visit in The Center on Friday, December 1 between 3-5:30pm for some festive Polar Express activities, ornament making, and hot cocoa and cookies sponsored by the wonderful Whitman Hospital & Medical Clinics. Then, from 5:30-6pm, stick around for Polar Express Storytime! Children must be accompanied by an adult and everyone is encouraged to wear their PJ’s for a cozy evening in at the Colfax Library.
