Teen Poetry at Libraries

For National Poetry month, teens are invited to display their original poems at Oakesdale Library (drop off by Monday, April 12) or Tekoa Library (drop off by Tuesday, April 13). All participants are entered into a drawing for teen gift basket.

Student blackout poetry is also on display at both Rosalia Library and the Libey Gallery in Colfax.

In celebration of National Poetry month, the community is invited to visit the Student Blackout Poetry Exhibit at the Libey Gallery in The Center. The exhibit runs now through the end of April featuring Blackout Poetry from Steptoe 6, 7, 8th grade students and Jennings Elementary 6th grade students. Don’t miss this stunning creative display of “found” poetry and personal artwork.

The exhibit is open during Colfax Library open hours M-W 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Th-F 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and Saturday 1:00-5:00 p.m.
