Looking for safe and spooktacular activities to do with your family in the spirit of Halloween? Several branches of Whitman County Library are offering all treats, no tricks for families the last week of October.

Break out your art supplies, and decorate a face mask in fall or Halloween style and drop by Oakesdale and Tekoa Libraries for free candy during open hours. All ages, free face masks are available. Keeping up with tradition, Oakesdale Library will be handling out candy with other local businesses on Friday, Oct. 30 at 1 p.m.

Albion Library is hosting two virtual programs in the spirit of Hallows Eve on Thursday, Oct. 29. The first event is a reading of Sleepy Hollow at 3:30 p.m. for kids in grades 4th & up. Family Spooky Storytime begins at 7 p.m. with scary stories read by Librarian Amy and some of her ghostly friends. Pick up free apple cider or hot chocolate mixes and snacks between 3:30-6:30 p.m. at the library on the 29th! Email Amy at albion@whitcolib.org or call (509) 338-9641 to receive virtual invites for both events.
