Penny Drive season is upon us
Whitman County Library is thrilled to be hosting its annual Penny Drive again this year! Started in tandem with National Library Week in April of 2006, WCL began the district-wide Penny Drive with outstanding participation from all 14 branch locations. Since then, thousands of dollars have been raised across Whitman County to support programming in our rural communities. These donated funds have been used to bring performers and special guests into our buildings, provide grab-and-go activities for families during trying times, and purchase supplies for storytimes or summer reading.
Help us continue this amazing tradition by rounding up your loose change and delivering it to any of our 14 library locations. With each branch designating their funds to the project or service of their choosing, all proceeds raised go directly back into our communities. Consider grabbing those pennies, dimes, quarters, and dollars to donate. Whatever you’ve got to give, we’ll use!
If you happen to be all out of loose change but are still feeling generous, feel free to donate online to any branch of your choosing. Our libraries and their communities thank you.
