Your chance to add photos to the Whitman Heritage site is coming in October! Please join us to learn about Whitman County Library’s online digital photo collection of over 5,000 photos! The Whitman Heritage team will host a one-hour presentation at our branch libraries in LaCrosse, Garfield, and St. John.
In addition to the presentation and display, the team will be set up to scan historically significant photos for you. Schedule your appointment and bring up to 15 photos or documents to be digitized and added to our online collection. All your original photographs will return home with you when you leave, along with a complimentary thumb drive with digital copies.
The presentations are open to everyone, but scanning will be done by appointment only to ensure you receive the best service. To participate, please contact Whitman County Library at 509-397-4366 or info@whitcolib.org to set up your personal time slot for the event.
Whitman Heritage Digital Collections documents the early culture, industry, and community life of Whitman County, Washington, and locations throughout Washington’s Palouse Region. The collection is a project of Whitman County Library and made possible with support and funding from a grant through the Washington State Library and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
